We always endeavour to balance numbers, genders and ages within each group, but naturally, we can never guarantee a particular mix of people.
We operate our holidays with a real knowledge of the single traveller's wishes and aspirations, with recommendations personally tried and tested by ourselves. We cater for single travellers from the ages of 25 to 69 with holiday highlighted for particular age groups as below.
- 25 – 45 years of age
- 40 – 59 years of age
- 30 – 69 years of age
The average group size is 12 but the numbers vary depending on time of the year and destination
We do not manage the proportion of women to men on our holidays. The ratio varies, but is usually around three women to each man.

No, we do not design our holiday packages to have any aspect of introduction or dating services. We offer holidays purely for single travellers who want to go it alone but do not want to spend their holiday on their own. Good friends do certainly result from our holidays. Although individuals have met and become a couple as a result of our holidays this is not an intention of Solitair.
We understand that going away on your own for the first time can be daunting, which is why becoming part of a Solitair group can help you feel more at ease. In the company of new friends, you can enjoy a different way of holidaying, safe in the knowledge that you are free to enjoy your own company or join others if you wish for exploration, dining, travel and fun.

Only if you choose to be. Our hosts are at hand to greet you at the airport at your holiday destination and organise your ice breaker get together. On all our Solitair holidays we arrange meals together, offer advice on excursions and answer any questions. Of course there will be plenty of time and space for you to be alone whenever you choose.
Your Solitair Host will meet you either at your resort or at your destination airport.Your group Solitair host will be available throughout your holiday to ensure everything runs smoothly and add that reassuring personal touch. Our friendly hosts are specially selected from the respective countries, as our experience has shown that their local knowledge and skills will add value to your holiday.

Our team are here to take your call Monday - Friday 9am-7:30pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 10am-4pm (excludes customer services). A telephone answering service is available outside office hours. Calls may be recorded to ensure a high level of customer service.
Smart price is an early booking discount, if you book at least 10 weeks in advance and make full payment at the time of booking.
You can secure your booking by paying £100 deposit anytime up to 10 weeks prior to departure.
When booking a holiday on-line, you will receive a note of confirmation in 48 hours and be allocated a booking reference by e mail and post in a few days of booking. Please print the page or write down the booking reference number when you receive it. You will also receive an e-mail confirming the details of your booking.
The balance is required no later than 10 weeks before departure. If you are due to travel within 10 weeks of making the booking, payment is required in full when you book your holiday.
Payment can be made by debit or credit card when you book. We accept MasterCard, American Express, Visa, Switch, and Delta.
Please note a 2% handling fee will be charged on MasterCard, Visa and 3% on Amex. A minimum charge of £5 is levied for all debit cards.
Please note a minimum card charge of £5 is applicable on all card payments for the amount of £1 to £250.
Flights leg room (this should be requested at check-in), Hotel room allocation, special diets other than vegetarian.
We do not issue reminders for the balance. Your holiday confirmation serves as your final invoice.
To make your travel easier, we endeavour if available to offer direct flights to a selection of our destinations at a supplement. Or we can arrange regional connection to major airports.
Your tickets and final travel details will be issued approximately 7-10 days prior to departure.
Booking Information
Telephone 0845 123 5515 quoting your booking reference number immediately on receipt of email invoice. Once confirmed and invoiced, any changes by you to your details or holiday arrangements will incur an administration fee of £35.
Yes you can. Please advise us by telephone immediately and also in writing. If you cancel you will be liable to pay cancellation fees detailed in our Booking Conditions.
Details will be included in your final travel details issued approximately 7-10 days prior to departure.
No, we recognise that single people have the right to travel without the burden of additional single supplement costs, which is why Solitair make no single supplement charges and we do not ask or expect you to share a room with one of your companions unless you decide to.
No. Our prices are based on sole occupancy with no single supplement.
As a rule we do not offer a saving if you wish to share a room.
Although the vast majority of our customers travel alone, some people who have recently become single and are not ready to go alone do travel with a friend.
Yes just give us a call and we will be pleased to assist you with your arrangements.
Seats cannot be pre-booked on the aircraft.
If you contact our Customer Services approximately 7 – 10 days before the departure date, we should be able to confirm final flight times.
If you have taken your own insurance we ask for details so that in the event of an emergency, we can deal with any problems. Also to assist you if required to contact your next of kin or friend.
